We’re going streakinggggg

Well I missed posting last week. I had my “I am going to work out tomorrow morning” *sets 5 am alarm* - alarm goes off the next day - *snooze* moment and then sleep terrible for the next two hours.

BUT! I am doing one this week. I’m technically off my “winning streak” of getting a post up every week but now it’s time to break the losing streak. Although I’m a little mad at myself for missing, it does correlate to something I think is paramount when achieving any sort of goal… which is, winning streaks and losing streaks.

Getting on a winning streak has been huge. This past month I’ve been super consistent and I am starting to see the results. Runs are getting easier. I am starting to get in the routine of riding my bike to and from work and I’ve actually done some swimming which if you know me… YOU KNOW I HATE TO SWIM. Even though I made the analogy of snoozing the alarm, I have gotten into the routine of being consistent on when I get up and go to bed. I am in bed by 10:00pm and up by 5:10am. I know MaKenzie is annoyed on the weekends when I’m up and at em at 7am because my body has gotten so used to being up early, but its those winning streaks that have allowed the training to continue as it should.

Now to the losing streaks… I have yet to met my goals that I have set each week at the end of the blogs. I think being a younger brother who lost virtually everything athletic to his older brother has made me okay with losing and saying “wanna run it back?”. So I am going to keep running it back. I WILL BREAK THE LOSING STREAK SOON. I have missed my biking and swimming goals each week and that losing streak is getting long.

The head, legs, and lungs ARE GOING STREAKING. Keeping the running streak, the good nights of sleep streak, and getting in a swim streak. I am breaking the not meeting swim and bike goals streak.. or if I don’t.. we are running it back.

    • 5x10 weighted squat -> Shoulder raises 5x10 (superset)

    • 4x10 weight lunges -> barbell military press 4x10 (superset)

    • 4x10 Dumbbell push press -> straight leg dumbbell dead lift 4x10

    • 15 min stretch

    • 7.22mi - Avg speed 13.6pmh - avg HR 116

Sunday:

  • Ride to lake - swim - ride back

    • 10.77mi - Avg speed 16.1pmh - avg HR 133

    • Swim .83mi - avg HR 100

Monday:

Goals for this week:
